ON THE DEX

Onthedex.com is an online music store selling goods to the US market. They operate as an affiliate store for zzounds and take a percentage of everything they sell.

SPeK media completed the entire design and backend coding required. Includes a MySQL database that stores the entire zzounds catalogue and the relevant PHP required to display the data stored in the catalogue. A recent addition is the 'top searches' function and a php script to display music related questions that are supplied to them via an rss feed.

The main site layout was completed in CSS and using tables where relevant.

The site is optomized for relevant keywords using the title and description tags. Every page has different tags with the majority being created dynamically from the information in the zzounds catalogue.

The whole site was created using Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

TXT M8S

Txt-m8s.com is an article site aimed at web masters who want free content to use on their websites. The back end of txt-m8s is wordpress and the front end that the end user see's is a template.

Wordpress was installed by SPeK media and the template incorporated

The content is automatically updated by a PHP function created by SPeK media. The content is changed into unique content by a custom PHP/MySQL based script written by SPeK media specifically for txt-m8s.com, this guarantees unique content.

Ourfreeads.co.uk Is manchesters answer to Craigslist. The users can post simple advertisements and contact details in the hope of selling their belongings.

SPeK media created the site from scratch. It was a simplistic approach in an attempt to try and make the site as fast and as easy to use as possible. The focus being on making it easy for people to post their ads.

The whole site was created using Dreamweaver and Photoshop CS3. The backend is coded in PHP and uses MySQL as a storage engine.

The site layout was created using CSS and tables where appropriate. Images were purposely avoided in order to keep load times down.

MALLZ4U

mallz4u.com Is an online shopping portal based in the UK. It lists millions of products from the UK's biggest suppliers.

The site was designed and coded by SPeK Media. The backend is written in PHP and the storage engine is MySQL. The major problem was the time required to scan a database this size before the user gets bored or the system times out! SPeK overcame these problems with a few unique techniques that make mallz4u.com lightning fast and listing millions of products.

The entire database automatically updates itself constantly by utilising a set of unique PHP functions written by SPeK Media. The functions grab the data automatically and then sort it into our unique table design.

SPORTS NEWS LIVE

sportsnewslive.co.uk Is a sports news portal based in the UK. A simple site design was used to....well keep it simple!

Sports news live gives the end user access to the latest sports news from around the world.

The site layout was completed in CSS and HTML tables using Dreamweaver and Photoshop. The backend of the site is written in PHP and stores an archive of the news in a MySQL database. The news is collected automatically from various RSS feeds using custom PHP scripts written by SPeK Media

SPeK media wrote a function to create an RSS feed dynamically for each sport so the end user can be drawn back to the site from a far by reading snippets in their feed reader.

The most popular sports have hand crafted title, description and opening paragraphs to help with the search engine optimisation.
